A more personalized gaming experience

Another aspect that sets this title apart from the others under the same franchise is the possibility to edit the player’s avatar. This is a step forward from the typical choose-a-gender character conceptualization from earlier games, although the selections are glaringly limited. After picking your trainer’s gender, you can then pick their skin, hair, and eye color. Unfortunately, changing hairstyles or more minute facial details is not possible.

A smooth and faithful adaptation

Overall, Playing Pokemon: X feels like having the real thing on your mobile device. You can play it in portrait or landscape, and it captures all of the content from the original Nintendo game—down to the graphics and audio. Aside from the inevitable smaller game screen in portrait mode and the unfiltered multiplayer experience, this game is a great mobile port.
